 Fountain Inn, South Carolina, was chartered December 24, 1886.  One hundred and twenty-six years later, Fountain Inn has emerged from a rest stop to points beyond, to the now “Inn Place To Be”.

 On Monday, December 24, 2012, in acknowledgement and celebration of this 126th Anniversary, Fountain Inn citizens and the surrounding community is asked to come join in an individual prayer vigil at Commerce Park Amphitheater on Depot Street. 

 Between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., citizens are asked to drop by, any time during this time period, to pray for the city and the surrounding areas as well as for the nation and current events.

 In the event of inclement weather, the Fountain Inn History Center will be open for your individual prayer time.

 Also Ms. Ruth Taylor, long time member of Fountain Inn Garden Club and lifelong resident of Fountain Inn will be remembered as well. She passed away earlier this year.

What's happening is teams are challenge to raise money's by selling luminary bags for $10 or a cupcake or footprint for a $1.  (These are paper cupcakes--not to mislead anyone.)  But the luminary bag can be purchase and decorated anyway you want, then it will be a part of a luminaries lighting along Main Street.

We are advocating support for the City Hall Team.  Stop by City Hall and see Gwen, Naomi, Sandra, Lori, or Amanda to help our cause by purchasing your luminary bag.  For more information call 862-4421 ext. 221.
