The Fountain Inn community is alive with a variety of community events that bring neighbors together to commemorate the town's rich heritage and celebrate the future. For more information about the following events, contact the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce at 862-2586.

Spirit of Christmas Past

Each Christmas season is filled with yuletide joy as the 12-day celebration called the Spirit of Christmas Past warms the hearts of Fountain Inn residents. Families can select from horse drawn carriage rides through candle-lit streets, participate in a home tour or enjoy the special music and entertainment throughout the festival.

Aunt Het Festival

In the Fall, the community comes together for the Aunt Het festival, named after former newspaper publisher Robert Quillen's cartoon character, "Aunt Het." The day long festival features arts and crafts, live entertainment, colorful characters, amusement rides, a car show and a myriad of tasty food booths.

Fall Golf Tournament

Bringing business leaders and other golf enthusiasts to the Fox Run Country Club each Fall, the annual Fall Golf tournament features a captain's choice round of golf and lunch.

Sponsored by the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce, the Fall Golf Tournament is one of two golf tournaments conducted throughout the year.

The Twilight Golf Tournament

In a unique springtime event, the Fountain Inn Chamber of Commerce invites golfers to the Carolina Springs Country Club for the "Twilight Golf Tournament." The golfers play nine holes in the afternoon then enjoy refreshments, before continuing to play the final nine holes with a special, glow in the dark golf ball.

Fountain Inn Activities Center

Residents living in Fountain Inn can enjoy a number of activities at the community's Fountain Inn Activities Center, located at 610 Fairview Street. Each morning, more than 100 older adults gather at the center to take part in fitness activities, crafts, health screenings and other activities. With a gymnasium and fitness facility, the center provides a home for youth and adults to participate in physical fitness activities, including a youth basketball league and an adult coed volleyball league. Memberships to the weight room are available and business and individuals can lease meeting space at the Fountain Inn Activities Center.
