Fountain Inn Rotary Club
The Fountain Inn Club has the honor of being the second Rotary Club in Greenville Country. The Club was chartered in 1937 and supports local projects and organizations including Fountain Inn Community Patrol, Strong Communities, Fountain Inn Elementary PTA, Boy Scouts, United Churches and Neighbors, Relay for Life, and others. The Rotary CLub meets for lunch Mondays at the Rotary-Lions Civic Center at the Southgate Shopping Center on South Main at 12:15pm. Fountain Inn Garden Club
The Garden Club works tirelessly throughout the years to add an extra dimension to the town. The Club maintains flower beds around town, sponsors the home decorating contest as a part of the Spirit of Christmas Past festival and educates students through Arbor Day activities at the local school. These talented individuals have given of their time and energy to develop civic awareness, anti-littering, environmental awareness and beautification to the City of Fountain Inn. The Garden Club meets September through June on the 2nd Thursday of the month at 4:00pm at the Chamber of Commerce. The Fountain Inn Music Club
The Fountain Inn Music Club is a member of the National and South Carolina Federations of Music Clubs. The Music Club was formed in 1938 with a mission "to bring the spiritualizing force of music to the inner life of our nation." Fundraisers are the Christmas Tour of Homes and Musical Chairs Benefit held in October. Proceeds are used for music scholarships. The Club has long been a major force in raising cultural awareness in the Fountain Inn Area. For information about joining the Music Club, contact Rose Marlar at 864.862.3805.
The American Legion Auxiliary
The ladies of the American Legion Auxiliary provide support to hospitalized veterans and American troops abroad and their families. The Auxiliary also supports high school juniors to participate in South Carolina Girls State. For more information about the Auxiliary or its events, contact Carolyn White at 864-862-3579.
Strong Communities
Strong Communities, a Public Service Activity of Clemson University, is a comprehensive, community-wide initiative to prevent child abuse and neglect by building systems of care for families of young children in southern Greenville County (South Carolina). Specifically, Strong Communities seeks to build, strengthen and renew community norms of neighbors' helping each other by watching out for their own and their neighbors'children. The initiative is based at the Golden Strip Center in Simpsonville, SC.
In effect, Strong Communities is designed to give new strength to the application of the Golden Rule in the participating communities as they care for their youngest members. The initiative reflects the developers'belief that every family and every child should be confident that someone will notice and someone will care whenever they have cause for joy, sorrow, or worry. Strong Communities is led by Gary B. Melton, director of the Institute on Family and Neighborhood Life at Clemson University on partnerships with the Piedmont Center for Mental Health Services, the Greenville County Schools, Prevent Child Abuse Greenville, Prevent Child Abuse Anderson, and numerous other local and state organizations.
Strong Communities is supported by a multi-year grant of more than $1 million per year by The Duke Endowment to Clemson University through the Clemson University Research Foundation.
Strong Communities relies on the efforts of community volunteers from Fountain Inn and Simpsonville to Piedmont and from Fork Shoals to Conestee and Mauldin. It includes attention to the contributions that many sectors can make to the well-being of children and families:

- housing agencies
- health agencies
- law enforcement
- local government
- religious organizations
- schools
- social service agencies
Granny Ellisor Toy Lending Library supported by Strong Communities
The Toy Library, located in Fountain Inn, originated as an idea of volunteer Chuck Ellisor. Named in honor of his grandmother, Ellisor envisioned a place where children could go to play with games, toys and books as well as check them out for use at home. The Toy Library functions as a resource for families and soon as a meeting place for parents, children and community members.

- Clean Up
- Coordinate and Implement Craft/Play Times
- Donate toys, books, games or materials such as crayons, construction paper, glue, etc.
- Staff the Toy Library during operating hours
- Help to form meeting space and be responsible for booking the meeting room
