Fire Chief Ronnie Myers
Ronnie Myers was promoted to the position of Fire Chief on July 12, 2014. In 1992, he joined Fountain Inn's fire department as a volunteer, becoming full-time July of 1996 and assistant fire chief in 2007. In addition to his numerous fire certifications, he is certified as Fire Marshall which he received in 1999.
A native of Mount Olive N.C. where Ronnie Myers was a volunteer firefighter. Ronnie moved to Fountain Inn in 1979 with Sunoco Products where he served on the Fire Brigade.
Ronnie has been married to Sandy Myers for 38 years. He is the father of three children, and grandfather of six grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
Chief Myers said, "The goal of the Fountain Inn Fire Department has always been to take care of people. It is something we believe we do well, and it is our desire to continue to provide the top-level care and security the community has com to enjoy."
Assistant Fire Chief Russell Alexander
Russell Alexander was named to replace Assistant Fire Chief Ronnie Myers after Myers was promoted to Fire Chief on July 12, 2014. A native of Fountain Inn, Russell Alexander began his fire service career in 1997 as a volunteer at Durbin Creek. He became a full-time employee in 1999 and was promoted to Lieutenant in 2010, supervising the Charlie or C Shift.
