FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

The City of Fountain Inn is excited to announce its 2021 Event Calendar. With events spreading the entire year, the City’s Special Events Department has put together another year of opportunities to come and enjoy all that Fountain Inn has to offer with our annual favorites, and some new additions.

A full schedule is below along with descriptions of each event.

March

*NEW* Spring Market (13th & 20th) - With over 50 vendors each day, this market gives local vendors a chance to help you get ready for Spring. The Easter Bunny is scheduled to make an appearance on March 20th!

April

15th Annual Mac Arnold Cornbread & Collard Greens Blues Festival (24th)– This music festival brings plenty of Blues, BBQ, and Collards to Commerce Park. A portion of the proceeds from this event go to Mac’s “I Can Do Anything” Foundation.

May - August

Farmers Market (Saturday Mornings through August) - Over 30 local vendors set up each week in our covered Farmers Market pavilion, offering homegrown and handmade products.

June - August

Sounds of Summer (Friday Evenings through August) - This event has evolved from a small number of people hanging out on City Hall grounds to large crowds enjoying a night out at Commerce Park and our outdoor amphitheater and enjoying our shops and restaurants on Main Street. We are proud of the growth and diversity of music that we have been able to bring to this series with bands from all over the Southeast performing.

July

Independence Day Celebration (July 3) - Our ever-growing celebration of our nation’s founding, this event features live music, food, and fireworks – all right in the heart of our Main Street.

September – October

Fall Market (Saturday Mornings) - Offered again this year is our fall market in October for those late crops and holiday items.

September

*NEW* Jeff Lynch Bike Night (September 11) - This new event is a time to show off your bike while enjoying live music and great food from a variety of food trucks.  We also take time at this event to honor and give thanks to all our First Responders.

October

*NEW* Fall Music Series (Friday Evenings) - Yet another opportunity to enjoy great local music and the beauty of Fountain Inn in the fall every Friday evening in our outdoor amphitheater in Commerce Park.

November

Merry Market (6th & 13th) - A chance to purchase some locally made Christmas gifts at our Farmers Market Pavilion.

December

Christmas Inn Our Town – Our signature festival and a favorite of people from all over the area. Lasting 10 days in December, the event offers horse-drawn carriage rides through the beautifully decorated Inn Circle neighborhood as well as free visits with Santa, train rides, a petting zoo and live music. Our Fountain Inn History Museum is open nightly, exhibiting Fountain Inn’s rich history. The spirit of the season extends to Main Street where the streets are filled with tourists visiting our local shops and restaurants.

Visit our website, fountaininn.org, for more information. Events are planned with COVID-19 protocols in place and we ask the public to adhere to all guidelines issued by authorities and posted at events.

Our Fountain Inn Special Event staff work hard for each event to leave visitors with unforgettable memories of our beautiful town, and we hope you will join us in 2021! We look forward to seeing you at our events and remember Eat, Shop and Play Local!
