The Municipal Election Commission of the City of Fountain Inn announces an election for the City of Fountain Inn to be Tuesday, November 5, 2019 for the election of Mayor, City Council Member, Ward Two (2), Ward Four (4) and Ward Six (6) for the term December 1, 2019 – November 30, 23. The Election will be nonpartisan. Persons desiring to file as candidates must be a registered voter and file a statement of candidacy with the Election Commission at Fountain Inn City Hall. The filing fee for Mayor is $150 and the filing fee for Council Member is $100.00. Filing will open on Monday, July 15, 2019 at 12:00 PM (noon) and close on Thursday, August 15, 2019 at 12:00 PM (noon). If necessary, a runoff election will be held Tuesday, November 19, 2019. Office hours to file are Monday – Thursday 8am – 5pm and Friday 8am – noon.
